Postmodern? You're soaking in it.
A boy and his dream to have a dream.

Elaine: According to my source, the end of the world will be on February 14th, in the year two thousand and sixteen.

Peter Venkman: Valentine's day. Bummer.

All manner of goodness. The full appreciation of this video requires you've seen the film Up (which you should see regardless) and you've also seen the clips from the recent debate featuring the Rent is Too Damn High Party.

*sigh*

Thanks for the memories, Randy Moss. I guess I'll see you around, I don't know, maybe Halloween if you're not busy... Oh, you're coming here? With your new/old team? That totally won't be like running into an ex-girlfriend. Oh, how I miss the carefree days of straight cash, homey.

*sigh*

Netflix recently got episodes of the show Psych and I watched a couple tonight. You know that show starring James Roday and Maggie Lawson?

When deciding what to watch next, I wanted a change of pace and started up an episode of a horror series called Fear Itself. Episode entitled "In Sickness and In Health", unbeknown to me starring James Roday and Maggie Lawson.

Can the universe stop screwing with my sense of reality for like two seconds? Way too many plate of shrimp moments lately...

Christine O'Donnell's new ad starts with "I'm not a witch; I'm you."

http://video.yahoo.com/watch/8340942/22283834

Two things. 1) She's not me. 2) I want to see her tested. If she sinks and drowns, she really is not a witch.

Did you notice how shitty iTunes is getting? If you don't give a flying fuck about online social sphere, and yet new features like Ping are mandatory in iTunes latest release?

It took me some digging, but I found a blogger who was kind enough to post instructions such that I could reclaim my simple music player.

So ABC news has a story about this riddle...

http://news.yahoo.com/video/us-15749625/different-generations-same-riddle-21861323

I listened to the riddle a second time to make sure I had it right and the answer was obvious, or so I thought.

My answer. )

And in this, I was wrong. I may have missed the most obvious answer, but to suggest my answer is "incorrect" because I'm not thinking a certain way?

I just ran through all eight episodes of the Danish version of the Kingdom. So much freaky stuff, and lots of "oh snap!" moments. The series is paced really quite well, the end of each season in a perfect crescendo of mayhem. If this had been produced with modern technology, it would dazzle you, but the European snark is endearing enough to overcome.

I remember watching bits and pieces of the Steven King adaptation Kingdom Hospital, but don't remember much about it. Netflix should have the discs off to me soon enough and I can render a comparison.

About 18 seconds in, toward the top of the screen. I'm the blur to left of my brother, who happens to be holding a poster for Matt Hardy.

Way big time, bitches.

I wake up with the Rolling Stones' "Can't You Hear Me Knockin'" in my head. I get ready, get in my car, turn on the radio, change the station and there's the song. Coincidence, surely.

The next song is the Allman Brothers' "Midnight Rider", which I initially mistake for Led Zeppelin's "Ramble On". I switch the station and there's Ramble On.

"A lot o' people don't realize what's really going on. They view life as a bunch o' unconnected incidents 'n things. They don't realize that there's this, like, lattice o' coincidence that lays on top o' everything. Give you an example; show you what I mean: suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconsciousness."
